Add a File to the Endpoint File Library

The Endpoint File Library is used for getting files to Actors in a Protected Theater. For example, you could upload the Validation Platform Endpoint installer executable file, or if you wanted to install a certain Microsoft package onto the Actor, you could add it on the Endpoint File Library page.

The Actor installers can also be found in the Actor Installer Files library (Library > Actor Installer Files).

Endpoint File Library

The default upper limit is 300 MB, but this value is determined by the Maximum Size for Data Exfil and Malicious Files setting. For more information, see Advanced Settings.

Add a file to the Endpoint File Library

Follow these steps from the system that contains the file you need:

  1. From the Director, select Library > Endpoint Files.
  2. Click Add File.
  3. Click Browse and then select the file.
  4. For Description, add a description of the file.
  5. Select the lowest Required User Group To Access that you want to have access to the file.
  6. Click Submit. When the upload finishes, the window closes and the Endpoint File Library table is updated with the file that you uploaded.

Once you have uploaded a file, you can then access it from the Actor by connecting to the Actor through Virtual Network Computing (VNC) or the Console and then going to https://<director-ip>/files. For more information, see Connect to Protected Theater using VNC or the Console.
