You must complete the following steps for the Actor to work from AWS:
- Provide a public IP address for the Actor.
- Associate an Elastic IP address with each interface.

During initial configuration of the instance, Auto-assign Public IP should be disabled; IP addresses assigned this way may be lost/changed when you reboot your machine, which would cause issues with Director-Actor communications
- Configure a security group that includes the Director and Actors, allowing everything to communicate.
While not required, it is highly recommended that you restrict which IP addresses can reach the Actor. Creating a strict access control list (ACL) for your outbound IP addresses helps you map your network more effectively.
- Supported: Pre-4.14 Actor Appliances, and installable Actors on CentOS7/RHEL7.
- Not supported: 4.14 Actor Appliances and installable Actors on anything other than RHEL7
When working with more than one interface, you must manage the interface configuration to ensure unique default gateways are assigned. If the configuration is correct, all interfaces will have default gateways assigned in the route table.
