Updating PT's Windows Virtual Machine Settings

If you are having issues viewing the Windows Image for Protected Theater, or if you are having issues running Actions, you may need to update the Windows Virtual Machine Settings.

To View the Protected Theater's Windows Settings

  1. Click Environment > Protected Theaters.
  2. Locate the Protected Theater that you want to review, click its actions menu, and click Edit.
  3. Click Image Details.
  4. Review and update any of the following Settings, and then click Update Windows Virtual Machine Settings.
    • Video Driver: If you are having issues seeing the Windows environment when you VNC into the image, changing this from vga to cirrus should resolve the issue.
    • Memory Size (GB): This is the memory reserved specifically for the image and is in addition to the memory required by the PT.
    • CPU Cores: This is the cores specifically for the image and is in addition to the memory required by the PT.

The minimum requirements for the Windows host is 4 cores and 4GB, but you could need more depending on your image (Windows 10 often requires 8GB).
