The System Settings page supports system update features and Director/Actor version tracking. You can also reboot the system, upload security update packages, manage the Time Sync of Actors, and create backups of the data from this page. For more information, refer to Security Validation Updates and Overview of Security Validation's Backup and Restore Mechanism.
If you're using an Mandiant Advantage Security Validation (MA-SV) environment, the System Settings page lets you track Actor versions and manage the Time Sync of Actors.
If security updates need to be applied, you are notified when you click Reboot. You can choose to complete the reboot later if necessary.

Time Service
You can start the time service on the Director by clicking Start Time Service, as shown in the following screenshot. Use this option after a system upgrade to ensure that the time service is running. The status of the time service also appears on this page.
If used installable software and not an image, you must configure a time service on your operating system. Then go to the Network Setting and page and set Director Time to Use System Time. On the Actors page, Actors installed using installable software must be configured to Use System Time.
