Assessments are a convenient way to group content together for campaigns, best practices, or quarterly assessments for a compliance audit. To do so, you bundle a set of security content together (Actions, Sequences, Evaluations) and this bundled content comprises the Assessment. This Assessment can then be distributed to other Director instances, from which the bundled content can be run. When this content is run on remote directors, a central Director user can review security posture across the fleet of Directors at various sites.
Assessments are useful for managed security service providers (MSSPs) that want to have multiple customers run the same set of content.
