You can view the interfaces assigned to an Actor, and edit them if the Actor's networking is managed by the platform. If your Actor has interfaces that the Validation Platform does not control (Actor installed on AWS, Actor installed from non-OVA form factors), you can only edit the interface's FQDN.
To add Interfaces
- Launch the Director.
- Select Environment > Actors.
- Locate the Actor that has routing you want to configure or review click Edit.
- Locate the Interface table and click Add Interface.
- Fill out the Add Actor Interface form.
- Name (selected from a list)
- IP address
- FQDN
FQDNs must comply with RFC 1123, a standard that defines the requirements for FQDNs on the internet. This standard specifies that FQDNs can only contain the following:
- Letters (A-Z, a-z)
- Digits (0-9)
- Hyphens (-)
Underscores are not permitted.
For more information, see RFC 1123: Requirements for Internet Hosts.
- Netmask
- Optional: Gateway
- Vlan
- Select one of the NIC options.
- Click Create Interface; the Actor's Interface table will be updated to reflect the new interface.
To update an existing Interface, locate the interface in the table and click Edit .
