After the Director is installed and you've signed in for the first time, we recommend that you complete some initial configurations. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Configuring DNS Settings
- Managing NTP Servers Settings
- Applying Network Settings
- Security Zones
- Managing Email Settings
- Managing Security Validation Content
Once you've completed that configuration, you can move on to installing additional MSV components. This should include:
- Linux Actor Installation
- Installing the Windows Actor
- Installing and Configuring the Mac Actor
- Configuring & Managing Integrations
Once you complete the preceding items, you can start your baseline testing. If your MSV subscription included other components, you can also set those up. This may include one or more of the following:
- Installing Protected Theater
- Monitoring your Network with AEDA
- Managing Email Actions Settings (Profiles & Rules)
- Getting Started with Security Validation's TAAM
